OPEN: I Need an Angel, poem with addition

62

By Timothy Donnelly

I really do need and Angel.

Someone who cares for me more than what can be seen.

I know an Angel can do that.

I need an Angel that will rub off on me.

More than I will rub her the wrong way at times.

I know an Angel can do that.

I need an Angel in the day and in the night.

Someone who will work through my wrongs, and with my rights.

I know an Angel can do that.

I need an Angel that wants me to be Her Angel, see?

She share all that I have, and be as kind as can be.

I know I can do that …

   …

Mystic Angel

Mystic Angel, are you near?

I really need you to appear

Shine your brightness in my life

Let my contriteness not cause strife

Mystic Angel, do you hear?

I really need you to be near

Please help me to be my best

And remove this burden from my chest

For I have waned in my wait of your eventual show

And with a shudder I now putter, as waiting time goes slow …

Mystic Angel, I am here

See me wanting you

Please recognise this solemn call

And build me in your hue

Help me as I ponder

My unjustly deeds

And guide me should I wander

Or fall from righteous creed

I need an Angel in my life;

I think this may be you ...

And do you think that Man and Wife

Could be an Angel's glue?

Thank you again Dim, I appreciate you taking the time to read and consider this much of my poetry. It is wonderful to see your unabated interest, as you have time!

In regards to this poem, I think that contriteness can be beautiful, if valued as sincere, because forgiveness can move mountains. This is only but one message packaged into this composition. Good Tidings Dim Flaxenwick; Namaste, and Shalom.

Seemed like you could be praying or pleading here. Then -wowee- your last lines handed out the truth on a silver platter.

angie ashbourne, Thanks, friend.

I'm sorry for my tardiness - I have been busy working on other things. All the best fair lady.

frogyfish, you noticed something - the crux, you could say. I don't believe in "Girlfriends", as many people regard a partner; I prefer to have the angelic conviction and faith of a wife. Of course, I know that there is a process that takes some time to experience True Love.

There has been some good advice given which suggests to know a lady for Four Seasons before making the covenant (before God) in marrige. Of course, I cannot judge people who have found that undeniable thing before the experience of a four season friendship.

Alas however, many seasons continue to pass without the true friend (and love) I continue to seach for, but I hope that she is out there somewhere! Apparently, there are legions of Angels around, but mine has still to be found and/or recognized. I'm sure many books can yet be written on the subject, but I have expressed my search in this short poem, and I invite people to share it in their own private circles, thoughts and circumstance.

Thank you for your complimentary and astute comment.
